Portfolio, Programme and Project Office (P3O®)
Building on our experience delivering OGC Best Practice courses, an extensive range of PRINCE2™; MSP™; M_o_R®; APM and Leadership Courses; Technical Training; and ITIL®, we have the skills, professionalism and facilities to offer this ground-breaking qualification.
Remarc also has the practical experience and knowledge needed to help organisations apply the principles, not only through our expert training but with implementation and review too.
3 P’s – Portfolio, Programme & Project, together, these 3 disciplines, help to ensure an organisation’s strategy is delivered appropriately.
A P3O
® model provides a decision enabling and delivery support structure for all change within an organisation, whether large or small.
It is an office or structure where an organisation’s Business Change Projects and Programmes come together
to ensure:
• The correct or best programmes and projects are selected and prioritised to ensure strategic objectives are
being achieved
• They ensure the organisation has the capacity and capability to deliver the selected programmes and
projects, which means, on occasion that they need to stop some programmes or projects that do not contribute
to strategy
• They ensure programmes and projects deliver the benefits needed to achieve strategic objectives
• They provide help and guidance for consistent standardised documentation and processes so that
the organisation’s performance can continually improve
Adoption of P3O® can help an organisation in a number of ways:
•
Greater visibility of change initiative portfolio, with clear performance indicators of success.
•
Prevention of initiative overload, improved capacity planning, maximizing organisational change ability.
•
Delivery of Strategy as envisioned with a clear Strategic Plan and more cost effective investment decisions.
•
Consistency of change delivery method leading to more successful delivery of projects and programmes.
•
Consistent governance of projects and programmes improved ability to plan future initiatives.
•
Project and programme benefits, defined, controlled and delivered, collectively delivering more benefit from
a smaller overall investment.
The course is ideal for a number of different people within an organisation:
• Senior Managers looking for Best Practice in the management of organisation
change and strategy
